Ashtanga Yoga Mysore Classes
Tom and Katharina will be teaching together from 7am, Sunday to Thursday. On Fridays everyone will start at 7am for a Sanskrit counted led class with Tom.
The retreat is open to any level of practitioner including complete beginners.
The teaching will be predominantly held in English, although Katharina can also teach the Mysore classes in German.
Practitioners with Children
Childcare will also be available during the practice times and it is included in the price for children.
Absolute beginners are welcome to the retreat. Please visit the classes section on our website to find out more about how the Ashtanga Mysore Style practice works. We recommend that you visit our shala in Berlin beforehand if possible, but it is not mandatory.
Meditation is open to everyone at the retreat and is free of charge. Some of the meditations will be guided whilst others will be silent. They will be held in the shala.
Vegan, vegetarian, pescatarian and non-vegetarian options are available.
Filtered tap water both still and sparkling is available at the retreat free of charge at any time of the day.
The area is well known for it’s delicious lemons and olive oils which are always available at the dining tables.
Breakfast is served from 7.30am to 11am every day. Freshly squeezed organic orange and lemon juice is available which are grown from the farm. Plus of course your choice of hot beverages like tea, coffee and hot chocolate with milk (including vegan options). There are also organic eggs from the chickens on the farm can be prepared for you on the spot.
Lunch is served at 1.30pm and will normally be served as a buffet, so that you can choose what you want from the daily menu. Most of the vegetables are grown on the organic farm and are freshly picked for the meals. Where possible other food is locally sourced.
A light dinner will be served after meditation.
Non-vegetarians will need to pay an additional amount if they would like to include meat with their lunch. Costs will vary depending on what’s available.
What you should bring
It’s recommended that you bring your own mat although there will be some there if you don’t have one. Please bring a small towel for adjustments as you are likely to sweat at this time of year. A cotton mat is also recommended as your mat may get slippery.
It’s a good idea to bring a water bottle for day trips, exploring the farm and area around, so that you can fill it up with the filtered tap water.
